Republican congresswoman Foxx claims that Matthew Shepard story is a hoax

April 29, 2009

I can’t even tell you what the fuck North Carolinian congresswoman Virginia Foxx is talking about.  If you shut your eyes, you may think that the hate spewed from Foxx’s mouth could only be attributed to someone as dumb as Michelle Bachmann.  Here is the video:

The Matthew Shepard bill is named after a very unfortunate incident that happened where a young man was killed.  But we know that that young man was killed in the commitment of a robbery, it wasn’t because he was gay.  The Hate Crimes bill was named for him, but it’s really a hoax.

Where are the facts to back up your claim?  Who is we?  You and Fred Phelps?  Every major newspaper and the local police department agreed that Matthew Shepard was lured from the bar by two men and then beaten to death.  He was not committing a crime.

Foxx’s statement was made while the House was debating a new Hate Crimes bill.  Apparently, Matthew Shepard’s mother was in attendance.

I’d like to see a source outside of godhatesfags.com that will corroborate Foxx’s foolish story.

Pending signature by the Governor, New Hampshire votes to legalize same sex marriage

April 29, 2009

In a 13-10 vote today, the New Hampshire Senate passed legislation that would allow same sex marriage in the state.  An amendment was added to the bill that allows clergy members to refuse to marry gay couples.

The storm is coming.

The storm is coming.

Civil marriages will now be for both opposite sex and same sex couples.  Before the bill passed clergy could refuse to marry couples for any variety of reasons.  Let’s say I want to get married to a Catholic girl, in a Catholic Church, but refuse to raise my children Catholic.  The priest would refuse to marry us.  In other words, the additional amendment is just to appease religious types.  Clergy have always had that right.

Democratic governor John Lynch still needs to sign the bill, but he’ll get enormous pressure from fellow Democrats to do just that, even if he claims that he “personally believes marriage should be between a man and a woman.”

Congrats to the people of New Hampshire.  Now more gay-tolerant than the entire west coast.

Iowa judge stops performing marriage in order to stop the gay storm

April 24, 2009

The gay storm is coming and Third District Magistrate Francis Honrath says that he will no longer perform marriages in the state of Iowa.  Honrath said, “The Supreme Court ruling had something to do with it, but the truth is it’s not just same-sex marriage I had problems with.”

My go-to jpeg for gay storm related stories.

My go-to jpeg for gay storm related stories.

Honrath is a Catholic.  The Catholic Church rejects gay marriage and will not soon approve of it, despite priest buggery.  But do you know what else the Catholic Church is opposed to?  Getting married by a judge rather than a priest.  Yes, if Honrath were to marry any couple, and that couple were to have sex, then according to the Catholic Church they have committed adultery because they are not truly married.

I shit you not.

Gay sex storm coming to claim nation’s children

April 9, 2009

Assorted assholes at The National Organization for Marriage hired a bunch of out-of-work actors to stir up hatred against The Gay Storm.  It’s going to corrupt your kids.  It’s going to take away your freedom.  And it’s all going down…this summer on Pay-Per-View.

One by one, each state in the United States is going to legalize same-sex marriage.  Like it or not, it’s going to happen.  All of the Christian Coalition hypocrites are just going to have to get used to equal rights for the queers.  This is not something that can be stopped.  You are wasting your money.  Abandon all hope ye who enter here.

And my god, there are going to be huge Pride parades after each one.  The federal government might as well step in now with a federal amendment to the Constitution legalizing gay marriage.  That way there will only be one gigantic gay orgy.  If we go with the state-by-state solution, every single person in the country is going to be treated to gay festivals of epic proportions.

This is what happens when you are on the wrong side of history.  When your grandkids ask you if you voted against the rights of a minority, hang your head in shame, knowing full well that the only way that they will respect you is if you lie to them.

As for these people, they are insignificant.  Let the old die and the youth will change the face of this nation.  State by state.

Vermont overrides Governor, legalizes same-sex marriage

April 7, 2009

Well, that was quite the turnaround from the doom and gloom of yesterday.  After Republican Governor Jim Douglas vetoed a same sex marriage bill, the Vermont state legislature overrode him and passed the law anyway.

OVERRIDDEN

OVERRIDDEN

This once again proves my point that bans on same-sex marriage are going to die out within the next decade.   All the armies in the world can’t stop an idea whose time has come.   Congrats to Vermont.

The Iowa Supreme Court ruled today that it is unconstitutional to restrict marriage to one man and one woman.  The court upheld a decision made by a Polk County judge in 2007.

Gay couples in Iowa will begin to be allowed to marry starting April 24, 2009.  Congrats!
